Morning Portends Glory

Deep breath…

Ok.

This has been in planning for a while.

Everywhere we look, our world is growing faster, more interlinked and complex. Technology and entertainment, business and society – it’s all converging. But in all this, there’s a storyline that gets lost. And it’s an important one, because it’s our story. It’s our humanity.

“Great beauty or splendor, that is so overwhelming it is considered powerful.”

That’s the definition of glory in Wiktionary. It’s not a word we use much to describe our lives. But at our core, we recognize: it’s the feeling of being alive.

So where is the glory in our lives? When does it go missing – and why? This space is going to be a whiteboard, a clean slate to examine the larger structures of our world – our society, government and business. How much do these systems value our humanity? How do they work for (or against) us? We want to be rigorous. We want to be clear. We want real solutions that lead to glory – not empty idealism.

Mornings are young. Like this blog. There’s something about the morning – the dawn, the stillness, the songbird that sings – that knows how to begin.

Let’s get started.
